Here are some tips to keep Biz Daemon running in the background and it can prevent your Huawei Devices to appear offline.
Please note, the steps may vary due to the variety of devices or Android OS versions.
For all Huawei devices
Developer options
To enable Developer options, please refer to the manufacturer manual.
Go to Settings > System > Developer options > Background process limit > tap Standard limit
There are two major categories for EMUI, please click on the version according to your devices and you will be led to the relevant part of the article.
For Android 8 (EMUI 8.x) or above:
Enable MANAGE MANUALLY for Biz Daemon
Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Apps > select Biz Daemon > Battery > Launch
Then enable Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background.
Allow Notification, Permissions & Data usage
Notification: Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Apps > select Biz Daemon > Enable Allow Notification
Please note, turning on Connection Service Notifications is necessary.
All Permissions: Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Apps > select Biz Daemon > Enable All permissions > Tap on Set individual permissions > Enable Trust this app, App auto-launch and App secondary launch.
Please note, enabling Dropzone apps permission is necessary.
Data usage: On the newer EMUI version, please allow all mobile data, WLAN, background data, and roaming data in the data usage in the app information.
Lock Biz Daemon on the recent page
Open Biz Daemon > tap on the recent button > tap on the lock icon on Biz Daemon
Please note, on newer EMUI versions, after clicking the menu button to bring up the recent tasks, if the application is displayed in landscape mode, it is recommended that you slide Biz Daemon down. After success, a lock icon will appear next to Biz Daemon.
Battery and Network Settings
Battery: Go to Settings > Battery > disable Power Saving mode & Ultra Power Saving mode.
For WLAN connection (Wi-Fi): Go to Settings > Battery > tap on the gear icon > tap on Keep WLAN on when sleeping > enable Always.
For cellular network: Go to Settings > Battery > tap on the gear icon > enable Keep mobile data on when sleeping.
Disable Screen Lock on Developer options
Go to Settings > System > Developer options > disable Screen Lock.
For Android 7 (EMUI 7.x) or below:
Enable Auto-launch for Biz Daemon
Go to Settings > Apps > select Biz Daemon > Permissions > Turn on all permissions > tap on Set individual permissions > Enable Trust this app, App auto-launch and App secondary launch.
Battery and Network Settings
Go to Settings > Battery > disable Power Saving mode & Ultra Power Saving mode > tap on the gear icon (Advanced Settings) > please refer to the following settings:
● Tap on Keep WLAN on during sleep, tap Always.
● Enable Keep mobile data on when sleeping.
Change the Power Plan
Android 4.4 - 5.1 (EMUI 3.x): Settings > Power Saving > select Smart
Android 6 (EMUI 4.x): Settings > Power Saving > select Performance
Lock Biz Daemon on the recent page
Open Biz Daemon > tap on the recent button > tap on the lock icon on Biz Daemon
For the newer EMUI version, if the applications are displayed horizontally on the recent page, please slide down the Biz Daemon and there is a lock icon that will appear next to Biz Daemon.
