If you want to use AirDroid Cast on your Windows computer to remote control iOS devices, you need to pair (connect) your iOS device to your Windows computer with Bluetooth. There are two ways for your reference, but you are recommended to use option 1 to improve the Bluetooth connection.
- Option 1: Pair Devices via AirDroid Cast Bluetooth Tool
- Option 2: Pair Devices via system built-in Bluetooth
Steps of Pair Device via Bluetooth
To ensure the Bluetooth Pair succeeded, please try to pair your devices while the "Bluetooth instruction page" shows up on your computer. If a Bluetooth request shows up before you do any Bluetooth connection operation, don't click Confirm or Pair.
Tips: The AirDroid Cast Bluetooth Tool is available on version V1.1.0 and above. If you didn't find this tool, just update your AirDroid Cast on your iOS device.
Step 1. Initiate Bluetooth Pairing Request From iOS Device
For different cast ways, the steps of initiating Bluetooth pairing requests are different. Check out the details below:
1. Open AirDroid Cast on your iOS device, tap the Bluetooth icon on the upper right corner
2. After the scan is completed, tap the name of your Windows computer, a Bluetooth Pairing Request will appear, tap "Pair"
NOTE:
If you can't find the Bluetooth of your Windows computer on the device list, troubleshooting below:
- If you are using a USB Bluetooth adapter, make sure the driver of the Bluetooth has been installed correctly. To get the driver and installation guide, please contact the seller of your USB Bluetooth adapter.
- If you confirmed the driver installed already, kindly re-install and reboot your computer to see if it help.
1. Download and open AirDroid Cast on your iOS device, tap the three dots icon on the upper right corner, tap "Bluetooth"
2. After the scan is completed, tap the name of your Windows computer, a Bluetooth Pairing Request will appear, tap "Pair"
NOTE:
If you can't find the Bluetooth of your Windows computer on the device list, troubleshooting below:
- If you are using a USB Bluetooth adapter, make sure the driver of the Bluetooth has been installed correctly. To get the driver and installation guide, please contact the seller of your USB Bluetooth adapter.
- If you confirmed the driver installed already, kindly re-install and reboot your computer to see if it help.
Step 2. Accept the Bluetooth Pairing Request on your computer
After clicking "Pair" on your iOS device, the "Add a device" and "Pair Device" notifications will appear on your Windows computer. Please click "Add a device" and "Yes" to pair the devices.
NOTE:
Please click the pop-up notifications in time as they will automatically disappear after a while.
Once the Bluetooth pair succeed, the Bluetooth pair instruction on AirDroid Cast will disappear, and the quick control button will display on the left menu bar.
Step 1. On your iOS device: initiate Bluetooth Pairing Request
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth
- Make sure there are two identical Bluetooth names of your Windows computer searched in the Bluetooth list.
- Tap one of the two identical Bluetooth names. If a Bluetooth Pairing Request appears, tap "Pair" (otherwise, click another Bluetooth name)
NOTE:
If you can't find two identical Bluetooth names of your Windows computer on the device list, troubleshooting below:
- Exit settings on the iOS device and then reopen
- If you are using a USB Bluetooth adapter, make sure the driver of the Bluetooth has been installed correctly. To get the driver and installation guide, please contact the seller of your USB Bluetooth adapter.
- If you confirmed the driver installed already, kindly re-install and reboot your computer to see if it help.
Step 2. On your Computer: accept the Bluetooth Pairing Request
After clicking "Pair" on your iOS device, the "Add a device" and "Pair Device" notifications will appear on your Windows computer. Please click "Add a device" and "Yes" to pair the devices.
NOTE:

Once the Bluetooth pair succeed, the Bluetooth pair instruction on AirDroid Cast will disappear, and the quick control button will display on the left menu bar.
FAQ of Bluetooth Pair
Q: I can't find the Bluetooth of my computer on my iOS device. What should I do?
A: In this case, please troubleshooting below:
- Make sure the Bluetooth has been enabled on your computer
- Disable and re-enable the Bluetooth on your computer, or reboot your computer
- If you are using a USB Bluetooth adapter, make sure the driver of the Bluetooth has been installed correctly. To get the driver and installation guide, please contact the seller of your USB Bluetooth adapter.
Q: Failed to pair devices, or device paired succeeded, but Control feature of AirDroid Cast didn't be enabled. What should I do?
A: In this case, please troubleshooting below:
1. Remove Bluetooth Device in Windows and iOS Devices
- iOS Device: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > In the "DEVICES" list, find the Windows computer you'd like to remove and tap the icon “” next to it, tap"Forget this device" and confirm it
- Windows Computer: Click "Start" > "Settings" > "Devices" > Click the iOS device you'd like to remove > Click "Remove device" > "Yes"
2. Reboot AirDroid Cast and Repair the devices again
