On lower Android version device, sometimes system permission will be turned off automatically which disable the Apps/Screen Usage Time Limits features.
How do get the Apps/Screen Usage Time Limits features to work again?
Please go to the Settings of your child's phone > Application/ Apps > AirDroid Kids. Find and enable the corresponding permission.
The permission name might be different on phones that have different brands and operating systems. Here are some known permission names, please make sure that permission of your child's phone has been turned on (all names below refer to the same permission):
- Apps that can appear on top
- Appear on top
- Floating window
- Draw over the other apps
- Display over other apps
- Display pop-up window
Notes:
For Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo phones, the permissions below should also be enabled.
- Display pop-up windows while running in the background
- Background pop-ups
When the accessibility loses effectiveness, the usage limits will also stop working. If the permissions above have been enabled, but the usage limits still don't work, please go to the settings of your child's phone, disable the accessibility and then enable it again to see if it helps.
