How to Transfer Files with Friends Through AirDroid Friends Feature?

AirDroid Personal not only supports connecting your own devices to remote control them, mirror the screen, and transfer files between the devices. With the AirDroid Personal Friends feature, you can add someone as a friend that allows you to chat and transfer files with them. Currently, the Friends feature is available on AirDroid Personal Android, AirDroid Personal iOS, and AirDroid Personal Desktop Client.

How to add friends?

For AirDroid Personal Android

  1. Open AirDroid Personal, tap "Friends"
  2. Tap the add friends icon
  3. Enter your friend's email, tap OK (if the email is not registered, we will help send an invitation email)
  4. After the request is sent, the status will be pending, and please ask your friends to accept it.

For AirDroid Personal iOS

  1. Open AirDroid Personal, tap "Friends"
  2. Tap Add friends
  3. Enter your friend's email, tap OK (if the email is not registered, we will help send an invitation email)
  4. After the request is sent, the status will be pending. Please ask your friends to accept it.

For AirDroid Personal Desktop Client

  1. Open AirDroid Personal Desktop Client, click File Transfer > Friends
  2. Click "+" icon
  3. Enter your friend's email, tap OK (if the email is not registered, we will help send an invitation email)
  4. After the request is sent, the status will be pending. Please ask your friends to accept it.

How to accept Friend Requests?

For AirDroid Personal Android

  1. Open AirDroid Personal, tap "Friends"
  2. Tap the "⋮" icon next to the pending invitation
  3. Tap Accept

For AirDroid Personal iOS

  1. Open AirDroid Personal, tap "Friends"
  2. Tap "Friends request"
  3. Tap Accept

For AirDroid Personal Desktop Client

  1. Open AirDroid Personal Desktop Client, click File Transfer > System
  2. Click Accept

How to chat and transfer files with your friends?

For Mobile Client (AirDroid Personal Android and AirDroid Personal iOS)

  1. Open AirDroid Personal, tap Friends
  2. Tap one of your friends, and then you can chat and transfer files with them.

NOTE:

  • Tap the paperclip icon, and you will be able to send files on your phone
  • Tap the photos icon, and you will be able to send photos in Albums directly.
  • Tap the icon on the upper right corner, and you will be able to Set remark, Clear logs, and Remove friends.

For AirDroid Personal Desktop Client

  1. Open AirDroid Personal Desktop Client, click File Transfer > Friends
  2. Tap one of your friends, and then you will be able to chat and transfer files with them

NOTE:

  • AirDroid Personal Desktop Client supports "send files", "screenshot", and "clear logs". But not able to set remark
