After successfully enabling SMS & Call Monitoring for an iOS device via USB, AirDroid Parental Connector can recognize the child’s device and update it while it remains connected via USB. However, after you unplug the USB cable, the app may remain on “Waiting for connection”, and the child’s device can not update. This may happen even when the computer is connected to the router via Ethernet and the iOS device is connected to the same router via Wi-Fi.
If you encounter this issue, try the following steps.
Reopen AirDroid Parental Connector
- Make sure the computer and iOS device are connected to the same local network, and that Wi-Fi is working properly on the iOS device.
- Make sure all backup, update, and Supervision Mode enabling or disabling tasks for the devices have finished.
- Right-click the AirDroid Parental Connector icon in the system tray and select Exit.
- Reopen AirDroid Parental Connector.
- Check whether the iOS device shows as Connected, then try updating it.
Restart Apple device services
- If the device still won’t connect, try restarting the Apple device services. (This will interrupt connections to other Apple devices on the computer, so make sure all related tasks have finished before proceeding.)
- Exit AirDroid Parental Connector and iTunes.
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter to open Services.
- Make sure Bonjour Service is running. If it isn’t, start it.
- Find Apple Mobile Device Service and restart it.
- Reopen AirDroid Parental Connector, check the connection, and try updating the device again.
