Settings and paths might differ from those of your phone. Here are the steps for different Android versions:
Battery Settings
Go to Settings > Battery > Settings
- Turn off mobile data when device is locked: Never
- Clear cache when device is locked: Never
- Battery saver: disabled
- Ultra battery saver: disabled
- Battery drain notifications: disabled
- Battery saver suggestion and warnings: disabled
- Scenarios: no scenarios enabled
AirDroid Kids App Settings
Go to Settings > Apps > Manage apps > find AirDroid Kid
- Notifications: OFF
- Restrict data usage: choose both WLAN and Mobile data
- Battery saver: No restrictions
- Autostart: enabled
- Allow restricted settings: enabled
Unrestricted data settings
Search and go to "Unrestricted data" settings, and make sure AirDroid Kids hasn't been restricted.
Accessibility settings
Search and go to "Accessibility menu", and make sure the Accessibility menu shortcut has been Off.

- Data usage: enable Mobile data, WLAN, and Background data.
- Permissions: disable "Permanent notification".
- Autostart: keep Enable.
- Notifications: disable "Show notifications".
- Restrict data usage: enable WLAN, and Mobile data.
- Battery saver: choose "No restrictions".

- Battery saver: make sure "Battery saver" and "Ultra battery saver" have been disabled.

NOTE:
- If you have enabled the "Turn on MIUI optimization" option, please disable it. (Settings > Additional settings > Developer options > Turn on MIUI optimization)
- Background tasks will consume a device's limited resources, like RAM and battery. So the Android OS system will handle the task killer when memory is low and very deliberately doesn't allow you or app developers to control the background task killer. That's why we can't keep the AirDroid Kids service permanently alive in the background.
- Besides, the special case below will cause a connection problem too:
- Device power > off
- AirDroid Kids has been uninstalled
- There is no network on the device
