Generally, keeping the AirDroid Kids process running on the devices' backgrounds is the key to maintaining its usage.
How to keep AirDroid Kids running in the background on Realme devices?
Enable basic permissions for AirDroid Kids
Follow the guidance when you first-time open AirDroid Kids (enabled permissions which are needed).
What is AirDroid Parental Control and how to start using?
Settings of the device (Android 11 as an example)
Settings > SIM card & mobile data
- Data usage > Network permissions: make sure AirDroid Kids allowed Wi-Fi & mobile data permissions.
- Data saving: turned off.
Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced Settings > Wi-Fi Assistant
Make sure "Auto connect to the best Wi-Fi", and " Auto switch to mobile network" has been turned on.
Settings > Battery
- Power saving mode: turned off.
- Super power saving mode: turned off.
- More battery settings:
- Performance mode: choose "High performance mode".
- Optimize battery use: choose "Don't optimize" in AirDroid Kids.
- Optimized standby: choose "Off".
Settings > App management > App list > AirDroid Kids
- Data usage details: turn off "Disable mobile data", and "Disable Wi-Fi". Turn on "Background data".
- Battery usage: turn on "Allow background activity" and "Allow auto launch".
- Manage notifications: turn off "Allow notifications".
- Permissions: turn off "Auto revoke permissions".
Unrestricted data settings
Search and go to "Unrestricted data" settings, and make sure AirDroid Kids hasn't been restricted.
Accessibility settings
Search and go to "Accessibility menu", and make sure the Accessibility menu shortcut has been Off.
NOTE:
- Background tasks will consume a device's limited resources, like RAM and battery. So the Android OS system will handle the task killer when memory is low and very deliberately doesn't allow you or app developers to control the background task killer. That's why we can't keep the AirDroid Kids service permanently alive in the background.
- Besides, the special case below will cause a connection problem too:
- Device power-off.
- AirDroid Kids has been uninstalled.
- There is no network on the device.
