If you are using the AirDroid Personal Desktop Client and AirMirror App, you will find that the controlled devices' connection status differs when connected to different networks.
Offline | The controlled device doesn't connect to a network. Or AirDroid doesn't run in the background on the controlled device. | |
Local Connection Mode | The controlled and controller devices are connected to the same network(WiFi). | |
Remote Connection Mode | The controlled and controller devices are connected to a different network, and the controlled device is connecting to wifi. | |
Remote Connection Mode | The controlled and controller devices are connected to a different network, and the controlled device is connecting to Cellular(Mobile data). |

You can find the device's connection status in the bottom-right corner. The Computers icon means Local Connection Mode, and the Cloud icon means Remote Connection Mode.
