Generally, keeping the AirDroid Personal process running on devices' background is the key to solving the connection problem, such as failing to connect devices, devices offline, or disconnect constantly.
Here are the steps on how to keep AirDroid Personal running in the background on Vivo devices: (Settings and paths might differ from those of your phone)
1. Allowed AirDroid Personal running without limit.
- Open Settings > Digital Wellbeing > Always allow, make show AirDroid listed in the Allowed apps part.
2. Allowed AirDroid Personal to continue running when background power consumption is high
Open Settings > Battery
- Save battery: didn't been chosen
- Super power-saving mode: disabled
Go to More Settings
- Sleep mode: disabled
- Auto enable Battery Saver: disabled
Go to More Settings > Backfound power consumption, make use AirDroid is "High background power usage"
3. Permission management (Allow Autostart, Floating Window, Display on lock screen, and Background pop-ups)
Go to Settings > Apps & permissions > App manager > AirDroid
- Notification: Allow notifications
- Permissions > All permissions: make sure the "Autostart", "Floating window", "Display on lock screen", and "Background pop-ups" options are all enabled
4. Network connection always available
Go to iManager > Data traffic management, and make sure the Data-saving mode is disabled.
5. Lock AirDroid Personal on Task Manager or Recent apps
- Open Task Manager or Recent Apps> tap the △ button near AirDroid, and tap Lockdown. You will see a Lock icon after the lockdown.

- Open Settings > Battery, make sure "Battery Saver", "Super power-saving mode", and "Sleep mode" options have been disabled.
- Go to Background power consumption management, find AirDroid, and make sure "High background power usage" has been allowed.
2. Permission management (Allow Autostart, Floating Window, Display on lock screen, and Background pop-ups)
- Go back to Settings > Applications and Permissions > Permission management > Find AirDroid.
- Go to Single permission settings > Allow to "Autostart", "Floating window", "Display on lock screen", "Background pop-ups".
3. Lock AirDroid Personal on Task Manager or Recent apps
- Open Task Manager or Recent apps > Swipe down on AirDroid Personal App to lock it
1. Keep the WLAN sleep policy always on
- Open Settings > WLAN > Advanced > Select "Always on" in WLAN sleep policy.
2. Allowed AirDroid Personal to continue running when background power consumption is high
- Open Settings > Battery > Select “Normal Mode”, then tap “High background power consumption” > Find AirDroid and make sure it is allowed.
3. Permission management (Allow Autostart, Floating Window, Display on lock screen, and Background pop-ups)
Open Settings > More settings > Permission management > Find AirDroid.
- Go to Single permission settings > Allow to "Autostart"," Floating window", "Display on lock screen", "Background pop-ups".
4. Lock AirDroid Personal on Task Manager or Recent apps
Open Task Manager or Recent apps > Swipe down on AirDroid Personal App to lock it.
1. Allowed AirDroid Personal to continue running when background power consumption is high
- Find "I Manager" > Power manager, choose "Normal". And then go to Backstage power, find AirDroid and make sure it is allowed.
- Go back to the homepage of the "i Manager" > Settings > "Speedup whitelist" > find AirDroid and add it to Speedup whitelist.
2. Lock AirDroid Personal on Task Manager or Recent apps
- Open Task Manager or Recent apps > Long press on AirDroid Personal App to "Add to white list".
Notes:
- Background tasks will consume a device's limited resources, like RAM and battery. So the Android OS system will handle the task killer when memory is low and very deliberately doesn't allow you or app developers to control the background task killer. That's why we can't keep AirDroid Personal service permanently alive in the background.
- Besides, the special case below will cause a connection problem too:
- Device power-off
- AirDroid Personal has been uninstalled
- There is no network on the device
